Joburg Traffic Fines going up by 4%
Thursday, May 21st, 2009In the mayor of Joburg, Amos Masondo’s budget speech yesterday he announced a 4% increase in traffic fine revenue taking it from a whopping R841.7 million to a shocking R852.4 million rands.
So that pretty much confirms that Joburg is making around R70 million rands a month in Traffic Fine revenue. The interesting thing is that fine values cannot be increased, instead the city is going to get their 4% increase by setting up more “traps”, watch out, they are going to be everywhere!
