Traffic cops trapped…finally!
Cheers to the motorist who gave the Metro Police some of their own medicine back by trapping THEM!
Our motoring hero was stopped by those spiedkops and accused of talking on his cellphone while driving. Not content with giving him a ticket they decided to have the court case there and then at the guys car window in Nugget street, Hillbrow. Officer 1 reckoned: “Yes, you are guilty of driving while talking on your cellphone”, Officer 2 says: “You are fined R60, now run off to the ATM so me and my friend can buy some Chicken Licken and two cokes”.
Off went our hero who saved the day by recording the serial numbers on the notes and handing it over to the corrupt Chicken Licken and Coke seekers. But before they even had a chance to even buy it, much less taste it, this oke phoned the anti-corruption hot line and these two Metro Crooks were picked up and arrested.
Don’t you just love how it all comes together!

these people(cops) are degrading that uniform because they beleive that they can do anything to scare especially if you dont know your rights, they will even tell you that they will arrest you if you dont want to give them your adress(HOW THEHELL DO THEY KNOW WHERE I STAY) which to me is so stupid(IN ANOTHER INCIDENT I GOT INTO TROUBLE BECAUSE THE ADRESS I GAVE WAS IN Venda, while i was driving in pretoria) because its what i will tell them- isnt there some minimum requirements for this job other than standard 2 and ability to hold a pen that common sense should also be included. not all monkeys are monkeys, to those doing good-continue……….. till next time

From January till July this year, I have received 12 fines that do not belong to me.These fines are late at night and are at extremely high speeds (145-179km/h). I have done 3 representations at RTI and 3 of these fines were withdrawn. After checking the photos at the RTI, I am convinced that someone has copied my number plate. It is difficult to prove my case as this person is also driving a black POLO like mine.I have to take time off work to try and resolve these issues. I had to pay R600 to get a new registration number.
Is there any way that this can be resolved without me having to appear in Court again in Jan 2010.

Hi Roshnee,
It looks like you have had your plate highjacked. This is a common problem unfortunately. You have done the right thing to change your plate right away. There area range of things you can do to try to resolve this. Start by writing a detailed letter to your local prosecutor describing the situation and your reasons for believing that you plate has been hijacked. Send this by registered post. If you do not get a reply and instead have to go to court then you will need to defend yourself fully. My toolkit has an excellent section on how to win in court which guarantees you will get off this ticket http://www.trafficfinestoolkit.co.za

I agree with you. It is sad to me that the system works like this. But the only way to deal with it is to know you rights……
